About The Video

A conversation between Bree Buchanan, President, Institute for Well-Being in Law, and Co-Chair of the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being, and Prof. Jerry Organ, Bakken Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions, University of St. Thomas School of Law, will be joining this engaging discussion.

Several leading reports have documented the mental health and substance abuse crisis facing law students and lawyers. In its seminal report on this crisis, the National Task on Lawyer Well-Being identified six dimensions of well-being, one of which is “Spiritual Well-Being.” The report defined this dimension as “developing a sense of meaningfulness and purpose in all aspects of life.” How can faith help law students and lawyers attain this meaningfulness, purpose, and ultimate well-being? This webinar will address this question through the insights of two leading voices in the current well-being movement in legal education and the legal profession.
