Notes:

The 2004 movie, “The Passion of the Christ” depicts the last 12 hours of the life of Christ. Directed, produced, and co-written, by Mel Gibson, this is a film that will challenge your thinking on who is this person, Jesus. Why was he condemned to death by crucifixion? Was he fairly tried? Is he who he proclaimed to be, the Son of God? This film is not for the popcorn/soda, rom/com crowd, but for ones that want to challenge their thinking on this historical event. It visually captures the violent and brutal death of Jesus and the events/individuals surrounding this day. The dialogue is entirely in Hebrew, Latin, and Aramaic with English subtitles. This film was quite controversial in its day.

We will have an open discussion about this film from 9-10 pm to analyze, debate and process.

Are you curious? Have you always wanted to see this movie but never had the time?

ALL ARE WELCOME!
