All are welcome to gather in person each Monday from 12:20pm – 1:15pm ET (Sever Hall 105). What does the Bible say? Public Reading of Scripture (PRS) is a weekly practice where we read and listen to passages from the Bible together. Each week we will read passages from the Psalms, the Old Testament, and the New Testament. Whether you’re new to reading scripture, have studied the Bible for years, or are just curious about faith, you are welcome to come and discover if there is wisdom in it for your everyday life. Public Interest Piety: Unpacking the Role of Religion in the 2024 Election

In the leadup to the 2024 election and in the wake of international flashpoints that regularly make the intersection of religion and politics increasingly salient, this event will bring together academic and public-service practitioners to discuss religion's perennially evolving role in the public domain. Specifically, panelists will discuss the extent to which faith should have a presence in politics, if at all, and, more importantly, how voters, believers, and non-believers should process and respond to politico-religious events, especially amid our current season of partisanship, activism, and elections.
